The Laghi dei Reali park is located just outside the town of Tivoli, about 3 km from Villa Gregoriana. A FAI partner, it is immersed in the greenery of the Aniene Valley.
With a large private parking lot, it houses a farm and a restaurant.
The farm, with two beautiful lakes and numerous pools and waterfalls, primarily farms rainbow trout, salmon trout, and the native brown trout (for this product, we were awarded the Roman Countryside Green Oscar). They also stock shrimp, carp, sturgeon, and ornamental fish.
The restaurant has been family-run for about 40 years. It offers traditional cuisine with contemporary innovations, locally sourced dishes using products from the nearby farm, seafood, grilled meat, homemade pasta and desserts, and an excellent wine list with a focus on regional produce. The numerous dining rooms and verandas offer beautiful views of the farm's two lakes.
